Karen Flynn

Karen Flynn is a doctoral student in the Graduate Program in Women's Studies at York University.

Nancy Forestell

Nancy Forestell teaches history and women's studies at St. Francis Xavier University. Her research has focussed on women's work and gender formation in working-class communities. Her current researchinvolves the study of work, disability, and the body.

Cathy James

Cathy James is a Spencer/National Academy of Education post-doctoral fellow, and a member of the Department of Theory and Policy Studies at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. She is a historian who has taught both women's history and women's studies. Her current scholarly work focuses on the history of the settlement house movement in Canada.

Isabelle Lehuu

Isabelle Lehuu is an associate professor of history at the University du Quebec a Montreal. She is the author of Carnival on the Page: Popular Print Media in Antebellum America (Chapel Hill, 2000). Her current research is on the history of reading and writing and family life in the American South from 1776 to 1865.

Annalee Lepp

Annalee Lepp (formerly Golz) teaches in the Women's Studies Department at the University of Victoria. Her research areas include Canadian legal and family history, historical perspectives on family violence in nineteenth and early twentieth century Canada, as well as contemporary human rights and trafficking in women to and within Canada.

Lynne Marks

Lynne Marks teaches in the History Department at the University of Victoria. She is the author of Revivals and Roller Rinks: Religion, Leisure andIdentity in ate-Nineteenth-Century Small-Town Ontario (University of Toronto Press 1996) and has published various articles in women's history, gender history, and the social history of religion.

Kathryn McPherson

Kathryn McPherson is an associate professor of history and Director of Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Women's Studies, at York University. She is author of Bedside Matters: The Transformation of Canadian Nursing, 1900-1990 (Oxford University Press, 1996) and has co-edited several volumes, including Gendered Pasts: Historical Essays in Femininity and Masculinity in Canada.

Georgia Sitara

Georgia Sitara received her BA in women's studies and history and is now a PhD student in the Department of History at the University of Victoria. She is currently working on a history of justice and philanthropy in 1870s and 1880s Canada.

Cynthia Wright

Cynthia Wright teaches in the Institute for Women's Studies and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto. She published "Nowhere at Home: Gender, Race and the Making of Anti-Immigrant Discourse" in Volume 24.2 of Atlantis.
