Claire Carter, University of Regina

Claire Carter (she/they) is professor in the Department of Gender, Religion, and Critical Studies at the University of Regina, Treaty 4 territory and home of the Métis Nation. Their research focuses on gendered embodiment, movement, and community engagement, specifically leisure spaces and 2SLGBTQIAP+ social belonging. Dr. Carter’s current collaborations focus on vulnerability in research and include an edited collection with Chelsea Jones and Caitlin Janzen, Contemporary Vulnerabilities: Reflections on Social Justice Methodologies with the University of Alberta Press, a forthcoming podcast, and improv workshops. Her work with queer sports leagues from across Canada led to her book Who’s Coming Out to Play? Disorientation and Disruption in Queer Community Sports with McGill-Queen’s Press.

Corinne L. Mason, Mount Royal University

Corinne L. Mason (they/them) is a Professor and Coordinator of Women’s and Gender Studies at Mount Royal University. Currently, Dr. Mason is working on projects that focus on queer kinship and care in the COVID-19 context, the “parental rights” movement, and the appearance of homo and transphobia in reproduction-focused responses to climate crisis. They serve as the Co-Lead of QriTical: queer + trans research hub at MRU and are a Co-Chair of the national association for Women, Gender and Social Justice (WGSJ). w: corinnelmason.com

Krystal Kehoe MacLeod, University of Ottawa

Krystal Kehoe MacLeod, PhD, is the Founding Director of the Centre for Care Access and Equity Research. She is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research-funded Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with the Bruyère Research Institute and the University of Ottawa. She uses community-based research approaches to study barriers to care for linguistic and ethno-cultural minority groups, the impacts of food insecurity on older adults and Indigenous communities, and the role of integrated care models in meeting the needs of older adults with multiple chronic conditions. Dr. MacLeod is the Director of the Ottawa Valley Food Security Project, sits on the Board of Directors of the charitable non-profit Carefor, and has been Treasurer of the Women’s, Gender and Social Justice association since 2022. w: ccaeresearch.ca

Daniella Robinson, California Institute of Integral Studies

Daniella Robinson is a Bigstone Cree and Italian sexologist, community Helper, and PhD in Human Sexuality Candidate at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her research focuses on Indigenous epistemologies of pleasure and pedagogical approaches, sexual violence prevention, and curriculum development. Ms. Robinson also supervises the Bekaadendang (Being Peaceful) team at Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, where her team supports Indigenous survivors of sexual exploitation and those at risk.
