  • Valerie Preston Valerie Preston, York University, has served on several boards of the Joint Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration and Settlement in Toronto. Her recent research examines the labour market participation of highly skilled immigrant women and the gendered impact of transnationalism on citizenship practices and identities.

Abstract

This article reviews current literature about the link between gender and immigrants' employment and equity-based economic integration. It concludes with three recommendations for future research.
